| livejournal: [link] myspace: [link] I'm 16 and a senior in high school. I am a self-taught artist. My style is extremely clean and precise. People are my favorite thing to draw - I started drawing portraits in '09 because I figured it would be good to be able to do that before college. (Duh.) I'm still kind of teaching myself how & definately making progress. My biggest inspiration is Bob Dylan. In July, Bob came to a town 3 hours away, and my mother brought me to the concert even though it was a Sunday night. I stood about 10 feet from him as he performed Like A Rolling Stone, and I can't tell you how much it meant to me! Right now I am working on getting my portraits to look more realistic. I paint, scuplt, decoupage, etc, but I love nothing more than drawing with a pencil. Just like a photographer might look at something and feel compelled to take a picture, there are certain people who I am compelled to draw. (Bob Dylan's a big one.) I am completely focused on my portfolio right now, because I will be submitting it to colleges soon. I want to be an artist. This is my goal. If I become a starving artist, I'll be the happiest starving artist you've ever seen, because at least I won't be sitting behind a desk. |
